How to read these results

Formula & calculation basis

Seed average gain and average loss with the arithmetic means of the first n price changes. Later averages = (previous average × (n−1) + current gain or loss) / n. RSI = 100 − 100/(1 + average gain/average loss).

Coverage & limitations

At least n+1 prices are needed. No losses gives RSI 100; no gains gives 0; a completely flat series uses 50 by explicit convention. Seed history affects values. RSI is a momentum measure, not a forecast.
